Website Coordinator
The duties of the Website Coordinator are the following:
-
Be mindful of the World Service Office's answers to frequently asked questions concerning websites.
You can access this information by logging into the member's site,
clicking on the site map link and then clicking on the
"Facts for Al-Anon Web sites" link under the "Public Outreach" heading.
-
Renew the registration of the website domain name (www.al-anon-ottawa.ca) every year.
The registration expires January 15th every year.
Our web hosting provider, Webkor Interational, has a policy of notifying us 90 days in advance of the expiration of the registration.
The notification email contains a link you can use to renew the registration.
The simplest way to pay for this is to put it on your credit card and ask for reimbursement from AIS.
-
Pay the quarterly fee to the service provider hosting the site.
The provider sends an invoice by email.
Follow the instructions in the email regarding method of payment.
Print the invoice and take it to the next monthly AIS meeting for reimbursement.
-
Attend the monthly joint district meeting to report on the status of the website
and to receive any instructions about updates to the information on the site.

It may benefit Ottawa Al-Anon members to add links to new pages on these two sites.
It may be helpful to discuss linkages to these two sites with the website coordinators responsible for them.
